Pro life

Had a great day today, food, mood, health and fitness wise the glass is deffo half full at the moment however had some news that affected the mood balance but will work to sort that out hopefully :)

Firstly u should all stick Anne penman into google. Fantastic lady, fantastic setup she has for stopping smoking, she has really opened my smoke filled eyes up and given me a whole new attitude to life. My uncle smoked 40 a day for as long as I been alive and he gave up thanks to Anne. Not counting my chickens yet but she has been an integral part to my outlook in recent times !

Ok so food and fitness wise, I had a healthy lunch, wholemeal tuna and sweetcorn baguette with vegetable soup (baxters) and for dinner I had potato and lamb curry (aloo saalin for my desi homies) with salad and then I came gym and caned 40 mins on the cross trainer burning 600 calories.

Sauna and steam room done, home for a protein shake and then bed by eleven hopefully. ZMA and cLa tablets and bobs ur uncle, jeans ur auntie and el hadj diouf is still a tit !!

Thursday AM

Have a busy day ahead of me today, so I intend to focus today on eating well and aim towards a potential trip to the gym this evening.

Day two of stopping smoking as well :)

Normal start to the day, 1 Thermobol, one long glass of cold water and three light toast and two boiled eggs. Shitloads of water today cos i know i will be busy in work !!

Tonight's workout

Gigsy turned up forty minutes late, the twat so we tuned into the workout at eight pm which is a bit late. He knows not to kick the arse out it cos I will jus go to the gym instead ya tool !

Tonight I had my dinner at 5.45pm. This consisted of a mortons roll (diet aside, these are awesome !) with grilled vegetables and chicken. We then did the following workout :

3x3 mins skipping
3x3 mins constant padwork
The last of the padwork sessions involved all the moves bring put together in one. So it was a jab-cross-left hook-right hook-left uppercut- right uppercut basically putting the moves we have solidified altogether in one move.

We then did a saggy circuit of jus one round, 45 seconds of :

Treadmill at 8.5speed incline 6
Leg and hip raises
Swiss ball crunches
Deadlifts
Lower back raises on Swiss ball

I am now gonna take three zma and two cla and call it !!

Afternoon - Update

Firstly, Sky Sports Player is awesome. Its like doing work, in your sitting room !

I had a nice leafy salad with salmon for lunch with some Broccoli quiche and a prawn sandwich (Come to think of it, wander when Man United play Chelsea  . .)

Downed three cups of Green tea today, 3 glasses of water and i must admit, I don't crave any bad foods. Couple all this with the fact I am attempting again to stop smoking today, means its been a no so bad day  . . . so far !

Last night/ this morning - Mon the Pakistan !!!!

Last night before I went to bed, i took 3 ZMA Capsules, 2 CLA Capsules and one big frickin cup of green tea with lemon in it. I also threw some blackseeds in there as they are known to be one of natures most amazing and blessed properties.

After last nights workout, with Giggsy turning up on time for once ! I went for a 45 minute sauna at the Pro Life Paisley. Met Kris Carslaw the British Master Champions and also trained by Colin Belshaw from Saltire Boxing, and chatted with him for a good bit. He is deffo gonna be the next big thing coming out of Scotland, keep an eye out for this guy . . . .

This morning, I awoke to a big glass of Fresh orange juice, a thermobol and a fresh attitude to life again ! Pakistan against India in the world cup, does it get any bigger ???

Anyway, whilst watching the first few overs, I had a bowl of Wholegrain cereal and in work have already downed  a cup of green tea.

Also looking to order my speedball to complete my garage setup. Probably gonna go with something from this excellent site



Will be posting my boxing workout for this evening shortly. Back to work, while I watch a shitty stream of the cricket on a minimised window. Damn the internet speed in here sucks

Tonights Boxing Workout

3 x 3 minutes shadow boxing
3 times the following:
1 minute Jab-Jab-Cross on medicine balls (held by partner)
30 seconds all out uppercuts
Swap over in between with partner
3 x 3 minute rounds of sparring

Circuits
3 times the following:

Bastard Burpees (Press up- burpee)
Bench press
Bend over row
Swiss Ball crunch

3 x 45 seconds per exercise
Abs Circuits
Leg/ Hip raises off bench
Side Hip raises (both sides)
Hip raises
Plank

Maximuscle Protein Shake, then bed !!!!!!!!

Tuesday 29th March - Gym in the AM

Was up at 9am, albeit slept in and hit the gym before work. Feeling slight bit of fatigue due to a heavy boxing session last night, howver i seen it through thanks to wholemeal breakfast and coffee !!

Have to mention, I drank some Herbal tea last night thanks to Dixy, prior to the boxing session and like red bull, it gave me wings ! Last nights session was awesome and i have to say Dixy is losing weight like noones business, well done to him !

Last night i took 3 ZMA capsules, as notified by Davie McConnacie of DMC Fitness. His blogs and facebook updates are awesome and i would like to credit him for the wonderful knowledge he passes on :)

The ZMA capsules are good for any lethargy you experience from an evening workout and they will be an integral part of my evening plans. i.e I pop three each night ! I also drank a big mug of warm water, mixed with one fully squeezed lemon. This is a good fat burner and should be taken in the evening as the next morning, it flushes all the crap out your system. 

This morning, I took one thermobol (Maximuscle) and I done 30 mins on the cross trainer, burning 300 calories, then work called :S

Breakdown on today thus far:

Breakfast
Wholemeal grain – 180 calories
Coffee – 10 calories


Lunch:
Soup – 128 calories
2 Wholemeal rolls – 320

Cup of pepermint tea

and its 2.40pm

Last Nights Boxing Workout - Completed

In Attendance: Me, Dixy, Erick Morillo on the decks via my iPhone

Equipment used: Skipping ropes, Everlast Pads, BBE Medicine ball, decline/ incline bench, treadmill, Gloves & Abs rollers


3 x 3 mins skipping warm up

3×1 mins of fast jab cross – Padwork
3×1 mins of fast uppercuts – Padwork
3×1 mins of fast R/L hooks – Padwork
(The above involves alternating with the pad holder)


3 times:
1 min – jab-jab-cross on heavy bag
1 min – medicine ball squats
1 min – EZ Bar bicep curls


Circuits – 45 seconds each
3 x Treadmill Sprints
3 x Decline abs crunch
3 x front shoulder raises
3 x ab roller


If there is any energy left

3 x 1 min of 50 ball medicine splashes whilst in crunch mode

Last night , I ate so much junk.

Junk, being Chocolate cake, Sponge cake and crisps after a rather healthy day of BBQ and playing seven aside football.

Today, I awoke with no other intention BUT to change my life. The way i live it. The time i wake up and go to sleep. The food I eat. The things i do. The exercise i make time for and commit to.

So when i awoke, I drank a big glass of warm water. Filtered with a Brita jug.

I then took a thermobol table from Maximuscle which is a fat burner and also appetite suppressant.

My breakfast consisted of 30grams of kellogs multi grains with 150ml of skimmed milk. This accounted for 176 calories.

For me to reach my ideal weight of 168lbs My daily calorie intake will be 1500 calories. I have to watch how this is broken down as I aim to eat more protein and continue to workout so my body will need its energy levels.

I will be at the gym some point today and aim to record the following for my back, shoulders & triceps, in 4 sets of 20 reps (4×20)

Using 2 x 10kg Dumbells for all exercises. (This is to tone up initially)
DB Bench Press
Tricep Pulldowns
Shoulder Press
Dumbbell fly
Overhead single DB tricep Press
Front Shoulder raise
Chest Flye raises
tricep Kickbacks
Upright Row

Then I aim to do 3 x 20 reps for abs with the following exercises:
Swiss Ball crunch
Side Hip ups
reverse Crunches

Six Pack Challenge

Ok i have decided to actually blog about my fitness in order to keep myself on track. There is a glut of information out there on the web, avaiable for anyone who is searching for a six pack. The aim of this blog is for me to put to use all the information i have gathered over my extensive years and put it into practice. This will in turn allow the viewer to use whatever they like for their own personal fitness gains, healthy living aspirations.

A bit about me, I am a Scottish Muslim, aged 34 years old living in Glasgow. I am 14 stones and my exercise regime consists of the following activities:

Football
Boxing
Running
Weight Lifting

Nutrition is way more important than all this. I would deem the balance shift to be 80/20, with 80 percent of the focus being on nutrition.

I aim to blog on ,y eating patterns each day and the exercises i do.

I hope you gain from this journey as much as i do (an i aint talking pounds here !)
